The hexagon is widely regarded as the strongest shape in nature, a perfect balance of efficiency and enduring strength. This principle of structural integrity was far from my mind until a few years ago, when I returned home to find water spots spreading across my kitchen ceiling. That leak led to a phone call to my cousin, George York. As I watched George work, I realized that his approach to plumbing mirrored the discipline I had lived by during my time in the service: a quiet, “no-fail” commitment to doing the job right the first time. We realized then that the industry didn’t just need another service provider; it needed a company built on that same unbreakable geometry of trust and precision.
In 2018, we founded Hexagon Plumbing on that handshake and a shared standard of excellence. As we entered our eighth year, we saw an opportunity to bring that same level of rigor to the “air” side of the home. In 2023, I partnered with Isaac Middleton—a friend whose background in the Air Force instilled in him a similar obsession with technical accuracy—to launch Hexagon Air & Heat. While they operate as sister companies to maintain their specialized focus, they are bound by the same Hexagon name. It is a name that represents more than just a shape; it is a promise of ground-to-ceiling reliability, delivered by people who believe that your home’s infrastructure deserves the strongest foundation possible.

Mr. Middleton, a native of North Carolina, enlisted in the United States Air Force straight out of high school. In 2017, he made a career shift from the financial sector to specialize in Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning. He gained experience working for local residential and commercial service companies in the Greater Houston and surrounding areas before ascending to the role of president at Hexagon Air Conditioning & Heating. Currently, he is eager to play a pivotal role in establishing the Hexagon brand, striving to build an air conditioning and heating company that fosters pride among both himself and his team.
As a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Isaac Middleton understands that the strongest units are built on a foundation of discipline and community service. That mission extends deep into his personal life in the Katy area, where his wife serves as a dedicated local educator, shaping the next generation of Houston students. Isaac takes immense pride in watching his daughter follow in his footsteps of mental and physical rigor through her martial arts training. For Isaac, the ‘Hexagon’ isn’t just a business—it’s a commitment to the families of our community, rooted in the same values of hard work and focus he nurtures at his own dinner table.
While many companies attempt to do everything under one roof, we chose a different path for HEXAGON. We believe that mastery requires focus. This is why Hexagon Plumbing and Hexagon Air & Heat operate as dedicated sister companies—two specialized forces sharing a single, unbreakable standard of excellence. This structure allows George York to lead our plumbing teams with the specialized grit required for the “Ground,” while the foundation built by Isaac Middleton and the seasoned leadership of John Connales bring a lifetime of technical expertise to the “Air.” By maintaining these as distinct but aligned operations, we ensure that whether we are under your foundation or in your attic, you are being served by a master of that specific trade.
This “Ground and Air” philosophy is more than just a business model; it is a reflection of the lives we’ve lived. Drawing from our backgrounds in the 82nd Airborne and the U.S. Air Force, we understand that a successful mission requires total coordination between the elements. Hexagon is the only company in Houston that treats your plumbing and your HVAC as a unified defensive perimeter for your home. We approach your property with a military-grade perspective: the ground must be secure, and the air must be controlled. When you see the Hexagon on our trucks, you aren’t just seeing a logo—you are seeing a specialized task force dedicated to the structural integrity and climate of your family’s greatest investment.

In early 2026, the Hexagon mission reached a new milestone as John Canales stepped in to lead our HVAC Division. Following the foundation laid by Isaac Middleton, John brings a veteran’s dedication to the role, backed by decades of comprehensive industry experience. His deep-rooted knowledge of the trades ensures that as Hexagon Air & Heat grows, our commitment to technical precision remains unbreakable.
Beyond the technical demands of the HVAC industry, John’s true north is his family. A devoted husband and father, he believes that the same care he puts into a client’s home is rooted in the love he has for his own wife and daughter. Deeply embedded in the Tomball community, John is frequently seen supporting local initiatives and serving within his church. For John, faith and family aren’t just personal priorities—they are the foundation of the integrity he brings to Hexagon every single day.
